As NAIS President Debra Wilson also showed us at EMA #AC25Austin, 51% of Gen Z graduates say their degree wasn’t worth the cost. That fact alone suggests a need for independent schools to identify and clearly articulate additional ways of showing ROI to prospective families. Fortunately, educational leaders at organizations like the Educational Records Bureau have shown us how post pandemic achievement trends are playing out differently in public schools and private schools. When carefully considered such trends can serve as compelling tools during the enrollment process. For example, as seen below, student achievement has returned to pre-pandemic level in private schools, but not public schools.
